What is Digital Media?
Digital media can be created, viewed, distributed, modified and preserved on computers.
Examples of digital media
- Websites
- Social media
- Blogs
- e-Newsletters
- Powerpoint presentations
- e-Books
Digital media are frequently contrasted with print media, such as printed books, newspapers and magazines, and other traditional or analog media, such as pictures, film or audio tape.
With social media, being available and visible is not enough. Your social media efforts will suffer if you do not have a professional look as well as consistency within the brand.
Why is consistently important?
1. People research the products they want to buy.
Seeing your consistent brand helps with recall. If they see you are Facebook, then Twitter, they follow you to your Web site and all are consistent, they are more likely to buy from you.
2. You look important – like professionals.
You will have the appearance that you care about your business and you take it seriously.
3. There is no confusion.
They know who you are by your brand and you will not get confused with competitors.
4. Your brand reflects your personality – yes, your personality.
In today’s world, this is your first appearance to customers. Your brand lets them know who you are and what you stand for.
